:CS) today announced that for the eighth consecutive quarter, the Dell'Oro Group ranks it number one in market share for the modular Layer 3 switching market. According to the Dell'Oro Group's 4th quarter report, Cabletron, via its subsidiaries Riverstone Networks Riverstone Networks, was a provider of networking switching hardware based in Santa Clara, California. , holds the number one position in worldwide modular Layer 3 ports shipped, with 31% of the market. Dell'Oro also reported that Cabletron ranks number one for the year 2000 with 32.2% of the overall market.

The Dell'Oro Group report, issued today, shows that Cabletron increased its market share from Q3 and ranks number one (for the period October through December, 2000) in the following categories:
- Total worldwide ports shipped, Layer 3 modular (31.0%)

- Total North American ports shipped, Layer 3 modular (33.2%)

- 10/100 Ethernet worldwide ports shipped, Layer 3 modular (32.7%)

- 10/100 Ethernet North American ports shipped, Layer 3 modular (34.4%)

- Total WAN ports shipped, Layer 3 (91.0%)


In addition, the Dell'Oro report ranks Cabletron number one for the year 2000 with 32.2% of the market.
