Riverbank raising funds for fire safety program.

Riverbank Realty Company's Chairnan Bruce Mosler is spearheading a undraising effort on behalf of the New York City Fire Department.

The effort, entitled "Supporters of Pro-Active Fire Safety Education NYC., Inc." is a registered non-profit organization established to assist in the financing and implementation of city-wide fire prevention efforts and education. The group's goal is to reduce the number of deaths, injuries and property loss due to fire. Mosler and Riverbank are seeking active involvement from the real estate industry to support the group.

The organization is currently raising funds to finance the development of the nation's first fully-equipped and automated Fire Safety Vehicle. This vehicle will take a hands-on approach to deliver the fire prevention message. Using state-of-the-art technology and multimedia application, the fire department will be able to recreate fire hazards and conditions, teaching its audience the best response. The vehicle will travel to neighborhoods, schools, homes for the elderly, businesses and festivals throughout the New York area. Statistically children and the elderly incur the majority of the fire related injuries and deaths in the country, the Fire Department will seek to target those groups for education with this vehicle.

Mosler is seeking 10 corporate sponsors to donate approximately $10,O(X) each. He is also planning additional fundraising events to supplement the costs of Droducina the vehicle.

Riverbank Realty was the host to a kick-off fundraiser, which raised seed money to fully launch the program. Attendance at that event included the chief executive officers from any of the real estate industry's leading commercial brokerage companies. The Fire Department also fully supported the event with the attendance of Five Star Commissioner Mancusi, Fire Captain John Morello and several high-ranking officers and firefighters.
