Riverbank announces leases at United Nations Plaza.

Riverbank Realty Company announced the successful conclusion of five lease transactions totaling 18,000 square feet at 823 United Nations Plaza as exclusive agent for Gensler and Associates, one of the nation's largest interior design firms. Paul Glickman, senior vice president of Riverbank Realty Company, handled the assignment for Gensler.

The 12-month effort entailed the subdividing of two floors to create multitenant configurations at one the premier office properties adjacent to the United Nations.

As an integral aspect of its sub-lease program, Riverbank undertook a program to survey the market to determine that the strongest demand in the are was among small United Nations related firms.

Among the firms concluding sub-lease transactions within the Gensler space were: The Commission of the European Communities, the executive body of the European community; The African American Institute, a New York and Washington, D.C. - based organization funded by African governments to promote continuing education and African development in the United States; The FRG Information Systems Corporation, an international securities settlement agency; I. David Gordon Associates, a New York-based insurance brokerage firm and Michael Deutch, Esq., a New York-based law firm.
