River Run Software Group To Establish Strategic Development and Marketing Relationship With HP; First Step is Support for HP's OpenMail.

GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2000

River Run Software Group, Inc. today announced that Hewlett-Packard Company has selected River Run to collaborate in providing software for companies who need wireless access to their data, anytime and from anywhere.

River Run and HP will work together to create a number of wireless solutions designed to deliver personal and corporate information to mobile individuals.

As part of this relationship, River Run is announcing the release of an enhanced version of River Run's award-winning Mail on the Run!(R). This software gives mobile users wireless access to OpenMail(R), HP's award-winning messaging and collaboration Working together on a project. See collaborative software.  solution, from laptops and Windows CE-based handheld devices. Later releases will provide access from Palm OS-based devices and Smart Phones.

Following shortly thereafter, the next offering will expand remote access to OpenMail by providing wireless access from Smart Phones over CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) A method for transmitting simultaneous signals over a shared portion of the spectrum. The foremost application of CDMA is the digital cellular phone technology from QUALCOMM that operates in the 800 MHz band and 1.9 GHz PCS band.  networks such as SprintPCS or Bell Mobility.
