River Drive Co. celebrates Phase II in Elmwood Park

Nearly 200 brokers, business people and local officials attended the grand opening celebration of Phase II at River Drive Center in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, announced Bernard Langan, managing partner.

Elmwood Park Mayor Richard Mola and County Executive Pat Schuber joined the partners of River Drive Development Company in a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the 105,000-square-foot office building, completed this summer less than nine months after ground was broken.

Langan credited the company's staff, particularly its Construction Division, along with Rotwein and Blake, architects, of Florham Park, New Jersey, for the rapid construction progress. "We were able to accommodate tenant demands and ready the building for its first occupants, Acuson Inc., and Pitney Bowes, which have leased a total of 18,000 square feet," he said.

The grand opening cocktail reception, catered by Demetrios Caterers, of East Rutherford, New Jersey, featured a variety of festivities including a sweepstakes drawing in which Gerald Smith of Acuson, Inc., and Curtis Foster, a broker at Cushman & Wakefield, were among five winners of "Dinners for Two" at local restaurants.
