Rivals.com Signs More Than 150 Affiliates in Two Months; Network of Sports Channels Now Totals 570 Affiliates; Rivals.com Gains Additional Regional, Team-Specific Web Sites.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1999--

Rivals.com, the world's largest network of sports team and specialty channel A specialty channel (or speciality channel) is a television channel which consists of programming focused on a single type or targeted at a specific demographic.  Web sites, today reported enormous company growth coupled with plans for future sites. Launched with 350 sites on Aug. 23, the Rivals.com sports network has signed more than 150 publishing partners in the past two months and now totals more than 570 affiliates.

Building online communities for displaced sports fans, the Rivals.com network features an in-depth database of football and basketball recruiting information, streaming video A one-way video transmission over a data network. It is widely used on the Web as well as company networks to play video clips and video broadcasts.
