Rita, along with her loving husband Domenic, raised four children, all graduates of Glendora High School Glendora High School is located in Glendora, California in the suburbs of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County. Glendora High School is home of the Tartans. Glendora High School is commonly called GHS. GHS colors are scarlet, black, and white. , and she was an active member of St. Dorothy's Catholic Church in Glendora. Rita began her working career at Ormco Corp in Glendora in 1967, retiring from the parent company, Sybron in 1996. Following retirement, she spent her leisure time crocheting afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with countless others for friends and charity.
