Ripcord Games Sends in Reinforcements for Enemy Infestation; The Invasion Continues With Scenarios to be Released On the Web.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 1998--Ripcord Games announced today the release of an additional scenario for their critically acclaimed 3-D Sci-Fi multi-player strategy game, ENEMY INFESTATION(TM).

6 This additional level is one of six free scenarios that will be released over the Internet. It can be downloaded at www.enemyinfestation.com, as well as other popular sites. The level works in conjunction with the full PC CD-ROM version of ENEMY INFESTATION, which is currently available at an SRP of $49.95.

ENEMY INFESTATION is a frantic and constantly changing battle where teamwork and strategic thinking are of the utmost importance. Players face an invasion of colonist-eating creatures bent on genocide, so it's crucial to collect and test weapons against the alien's primal killing instinct, discovering what is effective against their ever-adapting physiology.

The game's reactive AI and randomized weapon effects make it challenging for gamers to play individually against the aliens or in the cooperative multi-player mode as a team. Enemy Infestation is be playable on both SegaSoft's HEAT.NET and Mpath Interactive's Mplayer.com online networks.

In the new scenario, silence and darkness fill the colonist's space station. The only sign of life is one service robot. With the future of the space station hinging on the lone robot's success, it must be used to ascertain what has happened on this base and to rescue any colonists it can. Additional scenarios are scheduled for release approximately every six weeks.

ENEMY INFESTATION requires a 166 MHz Pentium-based PC with an MMX chip running Windows 95 and Direct X 6.0, 32 Megs of RAM, a PCI video card with 2 Megs of RAM, a SoundBlaster 16-bit compatible sound card, and a 6X CD-ROM drive to play in single player mode. Multiple player games require a P200/MMX machine. A P233/MMX with 32+ Megs, a PCI video card with 4 Megs of RAM, a 12X CD-ROM drive and 2D acceleration is preferred.
