The Ricoh Priport JP1030 Offers Convenient High-speed Printing,

Book Copying and PC-Connectivity

Continuing to provide high productivity digital solutions, Ricoh Corporation, the number one maker of digital copiers in the US, introduces the new RICOH Priport JP1030 digital duplicator A Printer-Duplicator, also known as a digital duplicator, is a printing technology designed for high-volume print jobs (20 copies or more). Printer-Duplicators can provide a reliable and cost efficient alternative to toner-based copiers or offset printing equipment.  designed especially for use in schools. The RICOH Priport JP1030 features book copying and an optional interface that allows high-speed printing directly from computer files at unparalleled costs - as low as .003 cents per page. The versatility of the system supports print page sizes from 3.5"x 5.5" up to 10.5" x 15.3" at adjustable speeds of 60, 80 and 120 pages-per-minute (ppm). It also boasts a pixel density of 400 dots-per-inch (dpi) in fine mode and 300 dpi in regular mode, making it an ideal imaging solution.

The RICOH Priport JP1030 is both PC and MAC compatible and can be connected directly to the computer, allowing documents to be quickly downloaded to deliver first-generation copy quality. Local area network connectivity can be achieved through a print server. In non-networked, multiple-user environments, documents created on remote PCs can be copied to floppy disk and downloaded to the RICOH Priport JP1030 using compatible application software resident on the connected PC.

"The JP1030 offers a wide range of performance options that significantly improve productivity while remaining sensitive to schools' stringent budget requirements," said John Reiling, Priport Field Marketing Manager, Ricoh Corporation. "This digital duplicator is a versatile, cost-effective alternative for high-volume document reproduction."

The RICOH Priport JP1030 offers a lower cost per page than virtually any copier or laser printer alternative, or about one-tenth the cost of a typical laser-printed page, and about one-fifth of a photocopied page.

The RICOH Priport JP1030 is also extremely user friendly - key to walk-up environments such as a school administration office. Its redesigned operation panel has frequently used keys up front for easy accessibility and an error indicator that is centrally placed on the control panel for added visibility. This functionality of the control panel allows operators to effortlessly ef·fort·less
