Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Felak was with the General Electric Company where his positions included the performance of power system studies nationwide using multi-area production simulation and security-constrained optimal power flow models. He previously was a manager in GE's merchant power plant project development function, and also was responsible for their gas and steam turbine plant upgrading and life extension programs.
Mr. Felak holds B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees in Electric Power Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, at Troy, N.Y.; coeducational; founded and opened 1824 as Rensselaer School; chartered 1826. It was called Rensselaer Institute from 1837 to 1861. .
