Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists , is president and chief executive officer of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, in Newport Beach, Calif., Orange County's only independent, not-for-profit hospital. Hoag is a 409-bed, acute care hospital. Afable previously served as executive vice president and chief medical officer at Catholic Health East, the largest not-for-profit health care system on the East Coast, and was part of their senior management team, which guides the strategic operation and management of the health system. Before joining Catholic Health East, Afable was the founder and president/CEO of Preferred Physician Partners (PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) The most popular method for transporting IP packets over a serial link between the user and the ISP.
