In "Cura Te Ipsum Cura te ipsum ("Take care of your own self!") is a classic injunction, urging physicians to care for and heal themselves first, before dealing with patients. This Latin dictum is relevant in many "traditional" societies in which only medicine men who already suffered from a " a crippled Enterprise ventures onto a hostile planet to gather dilithium crystals; the away team must deal with suspicious natives and a ghastly plague. "The Trial" features the trial of James Tiberius Kirk by the U.N.--excuse me, the planet Kos--a planet full of self-righteous aliens with an impenetrable bureaucracy. It isn't clear what Kirk is being charged with, but his solution to the problem (he pleads guilty to being human) is innovative. "Communications Breakdown" features Lieutenant Uhura and is a sort of postscript to "The Changeling," a Star Trek episode. "Scaean Gate" stars the irascible i·ras·ci·ble adj. 1. There is also a short story (no images) from the newest Star Trek anthology, The Sky's the Limit. This manga is for Star Trek enthusiasts only. Writers include Will Wheaton (aka Wesley Crusher of Next Generation fame) and Diane Duane, a popular SF/fantasy novelist. These stories do not break new ground, and are not meant to; they are nostalgic trips back to the old series and as such are not good introductions to the Star Trek universe. Some of the stories feel a bit long. The art (there are five artists) is light in the backgrounds and uneven in spots. Star Trek the Mange mange (mānj), contagious skin disease of domestic and wild animals. The several types of mange, including follicular and sarcoptic mange, are caused by various minute parasitic mites that burrow into skin, hair follicles, or sweat glands. : Volume Two contains comic book violence and is recommended for libraries with extensive Star Trek collections.
