Revit Technology Corporation Launches Revit in Asia-Pacific.

Business/Technology Editors

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 2001

-- Intercad and Buildfolio Selected as International Distributors

as Worldwide Demand for Parametric Building Modeler Grows at

Unprecedented Rate --

Revit Technology, (www.revit.com), creator of the first parametric building modeler for the AEC industry, today announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific AEC market. To build on its successes in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, Revit Technology selected Intercad Pty Ltd in Australia and New Zealand and Buildfolio Pte Ltd in Singapore as the Company's distributors. Together, they will launch Revit(TM) across Asia-Pacific, as demand for the powerful parametric building modeler continues to grow exponentially.

Revit's parametric building modeling technology empowers users in the Asia-Pacific AEC markets with the robust and versatile design and documentation tool that has changed the way architects think about CAD. With a single digital building model, architects and construction professionals can both view and use building data that is consistent and up-to-date from revision to revision. In a region that employs nearly 750,000 building design and construction professionals, Revit Technology will set new standards of innovation, productivity, ease-of-use and quality of customer service.

"With Revit, the Asia-Pacific AEC community has found the replacement to legacy CAD technology it had been seeking," said Bob Greenfield, director of Asia-Pacific operations, Revit Technology, Asia-Pacific. "Revit's parametric building modeler delivers the functionality and versatility building design and construction professionals in Asia-Pacific have demanded."

Famous worldwide for its ease-of-use, Revit enables architects with any level of computer skills to create and explore multiple design options while its parametric change engine maintains 100 percent consistency of the drawing set. Multiple users can collaborate on large design and construction projects and make edits at any point in any elevation, plan, view, section, schedule or sheet. Because Revit completely replaces the legacy technology commonly used until now in the AEC industry, it delivers true process automation for the industry, offering each discipline in a construction project precisely the information users want, when and how they want it.

"Revit's Web-based subscription model enables us to offer a complete solution that includes everything needed to succeed in a design and construction project," said Paul Ganz, Managing Director, Intercad Pty Ltd. "From initial design through construction documentation and construction, Revit users can create a fully integrated digital model of a building that serves as the center of collaboration among AEC professionals."

"We are excited to be involved in this unique opportunity to truly transform the construction industry. Finally, buildings can be designed and specified using actual building materials and components, which will result in tremendous efficiencies for the entire project life cycle," said Guy Tcheau, CEO of Buildfolio.

Revit Technology Corporation's CEO, David Lemont, will officially launch Revit's Asia-Pacific operations at a series of events being held throughout the region, including:
-- Singapore, September 21, 2001, 5:00 p.m., at The Fullerton Hotel, Straits
Room, fourth floor;

-- Auckland, September 24, 2001, 2:00 p.m., at Coast, Level 7, Hewlett Packard
House, Princes Wharf;

-- Sydney, September 25, 2001, 6:00 p.m., at Source 490, Level 1, 490 Crown
Street, Surry Hills; and

-- Melbourne, September 27, 2001, 6:00 p.m., at the Span Galleries, 45 Flinders
Lane.

Lemont will be joined in Singapore by Mr. Teo Ming Kian, chairman of the Economic Development Board and Mr. Guy Tcheau, CEO of Buildfolio. Professor Haresh Shah, Buildfolio Chairman and Professor Emeritus of Stanford University, will also be present at the event. For additional information on the launch events, please contact David Ong at Buildfolio in Singapore at +65 342 1401, or visit www.revit.com.

"The Asia-Pacific region has been anxiously awaiting the introduction of parametric building technology. Our partners in Asia-Pacific have already seen extraordinary demand for this advanced technology," said David Lemont, CEO of Revit Technology Corporation. "We have learned in our short time in the region that the regional AEC industry intends to lead the world in using advanced technology to improve project delivery, and we are excited about Revit's contribution to that effort."

Revit is the only software system on the market that empowers architects and building professionals to make changes anytime, anywhere in the design process while ensuring complete consistency of all drawings and documentation in the project. Further, Revit enables companies to eliminate large up-front costs because it provides subscribers the freedom to utilize the subscription based on current project needs.

Revit will be available in Asia-Pacific beginning September 2001 through distributors Intercad (www.intercad.com.au) and Buildfolio (www.buildfolio.com).
