The review of Lisa Teasley's Glow in the Dark by Nichole Palmer is an outrageous smear smear (smer) a specimen for microscopic study prepared by spreading the material across the slide.

Pap smear , Papanicolaou smear see under test.

Did she read the same book as some of the black critical thinkers like The Village Voice's Greg Tate and Kevin Powell Kevin Powell (born 1966) is an African-American journalist, poet, activist, and lecturer. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn. He was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, and attended Rutgers University. , who have lauded this book?

I read the book upon the above recommendations and found Ms. Teasley to be a master of the short story craft. It's a shame your magazine has printed the review of a very narrow-minded reviewer who will perhaps mislead mis·lead
