Rev those engines. (What's new? Holiday gifts galore).

The only radio-controlled system to use "EZ Guide Zone" technology--which allows the toy to grow with the child's skills--Grow With Me R/C Rally ($69.99), from Fisher-Price, East Aurora, N.Y., lets novice and experienced drivers alike get into the action. In mode one, children learn to drive error-free around the course as the EZ technology does all the steering. The car stays on course even as it reaches obstacles such as a broken road surface with a crash gate, bumpy dirt road, and ring of fire. Kids will easily be able to rearrange the topography into endless configurations thanks to the flexible links that are similar to a bicycle chain. In mode two, experienced drivers determine speed and direction as they steer the car around the obstacle-laden course. Off-roading also is an option. The 14 feet of flexible track, grandstand, emergency cones and barrels, and movable road obstacles all compress into compact storage.
