Football coaches at every level of the profession are already marking their calendars for the 81st annual convention of the AFCA, January 4-7, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla.

The convention will serve as the culmination of the football season for more than 5,000 coaches. It will feature a three-day coaching clinic and several other functions, including the AFCA Awards Luncheon and the AFCA Coach of the Year Banquet. The first morning of the coaching clinic (Monday) will be devoted to presentations by high school and junior college coaches. The speaker schedule is still in the planning stages, but if past history is any indication, it will feature one of the year's most spectacular slate of clinicians and topics.

The only requirement needed to attend the convention is AFCA membership. The membership fee for high school, junior college, college and professional coaches is $40. Unlike most clinics, there will be no convention registration fee.

One of the changes in the schedule will be the switching of the nights for the Buzz Sessions and the AFCA Tailgate Party. Since the Sugar Bowl will be played on Sunday night January 4, it was felt that the Tailgate Party should be held that night to give the convention coaches a chance to watch the game.

The wildly popular Buzz Sessions will be held on Monday night January 5.
