John Black, Retriever Industries' CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  states, "We have established a very low price for the Company - basically just recouping our costs, not seeking enrichment - as we want to see the process utilized. We have contacted many major companies developing products in the sector and thought others might be interested in tracking the sale to see who may emerge as a company also thinking through potential abuse of the technology and protecting you - and therefore perhaps worthy of your support in the future."

Last year a friend of Mr. Black had a laptop stolen which contained a tremendous amount of personal information. His own laptop included a great deal of business records and he wanted to take extra steps to protect it. "We thought there would be a 'Lojack-style' tracking device available but found none. What we did find was that the ability to track people and assets is being developed by a great many companies, but we did not (and still do not) see much concern for protecting against misuse beyond the pleas of several interested consumer groups, reporters, and a few visionary politicians.
