Retail Opening: The 81,000-square-foot Village Square retail center recently opened at Florence and Eastern avenues in Bell Gardens. The $13.5 million open-air style project was funded through a public/private partnership between the city and Primestor Development. Stores and restaurants include Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar, Washington Mutual “WaMu” redirects here. For the Washington, DC radio station, see WAMU.
