Resolute Networks Awarded MEF-18 Certification.

Leading provider of circuit emulation OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and subsystem solutions officially recognized for full compliance with MEF specifications for Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet

LAS VEGAS -- Resolute Networks Ltd. today announced that it is among a number of companies awarded MEF-18 certification for Circuit Emulation Service offerings in a special awards ceremony held today. Resolute's comprehensive line of CMX Circuit Emulation Services gateway solutions, which enables operators to reduce OpEx while rapidly evolving new packet networks to reliably support commercial, carrier-grade TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. Each lower-speed signal is time sliced into one high-speed transmission.  services, has successfully passed all MEF-approved Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet (CESoETH) conformance test procedures.

"The Circuit Emulation Services market is rapidly growing, with Telcos and MSOs constantly seeking ways to converge voice and data networks over packet infrastructure, while maintaining key, high-margin TDM services," states Brian Bortz, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Resolute Networks. "MEF-18 certification is a critical requirement in CES technology, and is certain to generate even greater stability, reliability and market momentum. The MEF-18 program consists of highly demanding requirements. We are extremely honored to have achieved this certification".

The MEF-18 Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet (CESoETH) certification program represents a major milestone in the successful deployment of packet-based networks. It not only promises to transform the wireless backhaul market, but also presents a clear migration path from legacy TDM infrastructure to simpler, more versatile and more cost-effective Carrier Ethernet networks. The evaluation procedures performed by the MEF-approved Iometrix test lab implement hundreds of dedicated tests, many of which address packet delay variation, packet loss and other network impairments.

Resolute Networks' Circuit Emulation Services (CES) technology offering enables high performance transport of synchronous TDM-based services over a broad range of packet-switched infrastructure types, including Carrier Ethernet, DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) A cable modem standard from the CableLabs research consortium (www.cablelabs.com), which provides equipment certification for interoperability.  HFC 1. , PON and WiMAX. The technology supports nx64 Kbps, T1/E1, T3/E3 and SONET/SDH.

In the tests, Resolute's CES gateway modules consistently demonstrated unique resilience to packet network impairments, enabling compliance with strict G.823/G.824 jitter and wander requirements, even in the face of Packet Delay Variation (PDV), end-to-end latency, packet loss and out-of-sequence packets on operator networks. The modules also presented a very high level of clock recovery accuracy and stability, assured via a choice of a standard integrated TCXO TCXO Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator
TCXO Temperature-Controlled Crystal Oscillator
 or an optional external clock.

About MEF-18

MEF-18's complete title is "Abstract Test Suite for Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet based on MEF-8". MEF-8 is the "Implementation Agreement for the Emulation of PDH Circuits over Metro Ethernet Networks", commonly known as Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet.

About The MEF

The MEF is a global industry alliance comprising a multitude of organizations; including telecommunications service providers, cable MSOs, network equipment/software manufacturers, semiconductor vendors and testing organizations. The MEF's mission is to accelerate worldwide adoption of Carrier-class Ethernet networks and services. The MEF develops Carrier Ethernet technical specifications and implementation agreements to promote interoperability and the deployment of Carrier Ethernet worldwide.
