Resisting Rome.

Regarding "Lost in Translation": I have come to the conclusion that it is time to stop wasting energy trying to convince Rome to live up to the spirit of Vatican II Noun 1. Vatican II - the Vatican Council in 1962-1965 that abandoned the universal Latin liturgy and acknowledged ecumenism and made other reforms
Second Vatican Council

Vatican Council - each of two councils of the Roman Catholic Church
. We need to find ways to celebrate the Christian liturgy Noun 1. Christian liturgy - the Christian worship services
liturgy - a rite or body of rites prescribed for public worship

doxology - a hymn or verse in Christian liturgy glorifying God
 faithfully in spite of Rome.

A bishop's first responsibility is not to Rome, but to the people of his diocese. If he does not serve his people, they need to tell him that he is not being faithful to his mission. In the case of the liturgy, the only effective way to accomplish this is to refuse to accept the changes that Rome is trying to impose. Concretely, this means declining to parrot parrot, common name for members of the order Psittaciformes, comprising 315 species of colorful birds, pantropical in distribution, including the parakeet. Parrots have large heads and short necks, strong feet with two toes in front and two in back (facilitating  the new responses and continuing to use the current ones at Mass. This might give church leaders some sense of the sensus fidelium.

DAVID David, in the Bible
David, d. c.970 B.C., king of ancient Israel (c.1010–970 B.C.), successor of Saul. The Book of First Samuel introduces him as the youngest of eight sons who is anointed king by Samuel to replace Saul, who had been deemed a failure.
