Researching nurses' alcohol use.


I am undertaking research into nurses' use of alcohol and other drugs (AOD See HD DVD. ) and how this might affect nursing practice. This project forms part of my PhD study at the University of Auckland Not to be confused with Auckland University of Technology.
The University of Auckland (Māori: Te Whare Wānanga o Tāmaki Makaurau) is New Zealand's largest university.
. The purpose of this research is to estimate the prevalence of AOD use within nursing, to gain insight into the management of nurses who have impaired practice, and to identify strategies for managing colleagues whose practice is impaired through AOD use.
