I am currently a master of health sciences (nursing) student at the University of Otago The University of Otago (Māori: Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo) in Dunedin is New Zealand's oldest university with over 20,000 students enrolled during 2006. , undertaking a research project titled "Role perception and professional development in practice nursing."

This research aims to provide a nursing perspective on the role of the practice nurse in providing chronic disease management within the current model of service delivery; investigate the skills, experience and knowledge required for this role; and professional development frameworks and opportunities accessible to practice nurses in order to support them working in chronic disease management.

The research has received ethics ethics, in philosophy, the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles. Moral principles may be viewed either as the standard of conduct that individuals have constructed for themselves or as the body of obligations and duties that a  approval from the University of Otago's Ethics Committee ethics committee A multidisciplinary hospital body composed of a broad spectrum of personnel–eg, physicians, nurses, social workers, priests, and others, which addresses the moral and ethical issues within the hospital. I am inviting practice nurses from around the South Island (excluding Nelson/Marlborough) to participate in a 60-90 minute face-to-face (jargon, chat) face-to-face - (F2F, IRL) Used to describe personal interaction in real life as opposed to via some digital or electronic communications medium.  interview.
