Research Methods in the 21st Century highlighted at FSCT Advancements in Coatings Series, May 18-20.

The FSCT FSCT Federation of Societies for Coating Technology
FSCT Fire Support Control Terminal
will introduce its first 2005 Advancements in Coatings Series (ACSeries) with a three-day conference on "Research Methods in the 21st Century: A Toolkit for Competitive Advantage." To be held at the New Orleans Marriott Sheraton New Orleans, located at 500 Canal Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 42-story, 449 feet (137 m)-tall skyscraper.  in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded , LA, from May 18-20, this program will explore emerging technologies and techniques that provide the user with competitive advantages in developing new coating products. A primary focus is on design of experiment and high throughput research and development.

In addition to the conference, the program will highlight products and services of suppliers related to this area through tabletop exhibits.

Learning Objectives

* To enhance awareness of newer methods and tools for conducting research and development.

* To learn about new methods of designing experiments and analyzing experimental data; high throughput methods, their implementation and use; other resources that can be used to enhance or improve research activities.

* To see how these methods could impact current research activities through real-world examples.

* To provide resources for further investigation and exploration.
