Research Foundation launches CSR project.

The IABC Research Foundation, with sponsorship from DirecTV, has launched a breakthrough research project on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The project addresses the challenges faced by managers who are responsible for communicating about CSR activities to various audiences. No matter how transparent a corporation may be, communication about CSR achievements may be seen by skeptical stakeholders as commercially motivated. In addition, managers sometimes have a hard time incorporating CSR processes into day to-day activities. The new study investigates how managers face and resolve these significant challenges. Preliminary information from the study will be shared with IABC members later this year; the full study will be published in 2013.
