I'VE BEEN AN AVID READER OF BLACK ENTERPRISE FOR a couple of years now and always enjoy reading articles about the top blacks in various industries, such as the recent ones about Wall Street and Hollywood. While it is great to see African Americans African American Multiculture A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. See Race.  making strides in those industries, I am surprised that I have yet to see a similar article about blacks in the management consulting Noun 1. management consulting - a service industry that provides advice to those in charge of running a business
service industry - an industry that provides services rather than tangible objects
 industry. This industry contains firms ranging from larger, purely strategy-focused firms, such as McKinsey and Bain, to those that offer IT, HR, and other consulting services Noun 1. consulting service - service provided by a professional advisor (e.g., a lawyer or doctor or CPA etc.)
service - work done by one person or group that benefits another; "budget separately for goods and services"
, such as Accenture, Mercer, and IBM Global Services IBM Global Services is the world's largest business and technology services provider. It is the fastest growing part of IBM, with over 190,000 professionals serving customers in more than 160 countries. . There would be more than enough companies from which to pick candidates.

Also, given the ever-present recruiting buzz on business school campuses, an article about black leaders in the consulting industry would be very timely and useful to young professionals looking at options for re-entering the business world after getting an M.B.A. As a recent post-M.B.A, entrant en·trant
