GASB GASB Governmental Accounting Standards Board has issued a technical bulletin clarifying how state and local
governmental entities should report payments received from the federal
government under the retiree drug subsidy The Retiree Drug Subsidy Program is a program offered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to reimburse municipalities, unions and private employers for a portion of their eligible expenses for retiree prescription drug benefits. provisions of Medicare Medicare, national health insurance program in the United States for persons aged 65 and over and the disabled. It was established in 1965 with passage of the Social Security Amendments and is now run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Part D.
