Rentar Launches Operation Port Solutions.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Rentar Environmental Solutions, Inc. conducted a demonstration project for Toyota Motors Cars by outfitting Toyota's car carrier fleet operating in the Port of Long Beach, California with its Rentar Fuel Catalyst. As a result, on its 58 vehicles, it is calculated that Toyota Motors will reduce its annual emissions by:

3 tons of CO

7 tons of NOx and

305 tons of CO2

As a result of its positive impact on emissions, Rentar is embarking on a broad based program called "Port Solutions" to allow other port operators to likewise significantly reduce their emissions.

The Problem:

The single largest source of air pollution in Southern California is the twin ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach. Most of that pollution comes from the use of diesel engines in harbor workboats, intermodal terminal equipment, railroad locomotives and heavy truck tractors needed to move containers from ocean-going ships through the ports to the rest of the country. There has been increasing pressure from some environmental groups to mandate the installation of expensive emissions control devices on all diesel engines in the ports. The full cost of some diesel emissions control devices can be well above $20,000 per truck. As freight transportation is a very low margin business, it's not surprising there has been stiff opposition from industry to mandate costly environmental regulations. Clearly what's needed is a solution that reduces harmful pollutants in the LA-Long Beach port area but has no net additional cost for industry.

The Solution:

Rentar Environmental Solutions produces the Rentar Fuel Catalyst or RFC. The RFC alters the chemistry of fossil fuels prior to ignition by splitting complex hydrocarbon chains into smaller more easily combusted component molecules. Because RFC pre-treats the fuel, the fuel burns more completely. Fuel consumption improves dramatically, horsepower increases and harmful pollutants such as ozone-producing NOx, greenhouse gases like CO2, and cancer-causing particulate matter are reduced. The RFC is unique in that it offers both improved air quality and operating savings for fleet owners. With the recent rise in fuel prices and increasing pressure from Washington DC and Sacramento for cleaner air at the LA/Long Beach ports, the need for cost-effective environmental solution is undeniable.

The Offer:

Any diesel truck fleet operating in Los Angeles County qualifies for the RFC trial program. Fleets can install the Rentar device on up to five trucks on a test basis with a deposit of only $300 per truck. The RFC purchase price is $1495. Rentar estimates that a fleet of 50 Class 8 diesel tractors operating 155,000 miles per year will realize annual fuel savings of at least $200,000 for a one-time investment of less than $75,000.
