Renovation completed at Bayport 1 in NJ.

Ned Cohen, vice president of Bergman Real Estate Group in North Brunswick, New Jersey, has announced the completion of extensive interior and exterior upgrades at Bayport One, the 77,000-square-foot building in West Atlantic City.

The renovations were instituted by Bergman Advisors -- a member of Bergman Real Estate Group that provides real estate advisory services to the institutional owner of Bayport One.

The reasons for undertaking the dramatic changes were simple, according to Cohen.

"There is great opportunity in the Atlantic City area for Class A buildings such as Bayport One," said Cohen. "It is the only modern corporate high rise in the area, it enjoys spectacular views from every window, it has an accessible location and many appealing surrounding amenities. But still, these attributes account for only 90 percent of the makings of a first class corporate address."

There is currently a lack of new commercial construction now underway in Atlantic County -- the area which has been hardest hit by the ongoing economic recession.

Today, Bayport One features a completely renovated lobby, designed to provide a cordial reception area with a great sense of architectural ambiance. To achieve this objective, all new wall-coverings and carpeting, in blue and burgundy, replaced the grey which previously set the building's tone. The original ceiling was replaced by a two tier 'dropped' ceiling with recessed lighting. Decorative wall columns, extensive greenery and new interior signage were also added to create a more receptive atmosphere. Other upgrades included improvements to the elevator cabs; a new state-of-the-art 24-hour card key access system; a refined building facade; and, comprehensive landscaping of the grounds.

Other endeavors which Bergman Advisors will undertake in the near future are floor-by-floor renovations of public corridors to be designed in the same style and color motif as the lobby area; and, a newly created tenant service area with a news stand, Federal Express drop-off and vending machines.
