Powerchip also sells foundry services to other firms. The company was founded in 1994 at Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan. It has four fabrication lines, three of which handle 300mm silicon wafers. The agreement follows an earlier manufacturing agreement between the two companies. It will allow PSC to sell AND flash memory chips under its own brand, increasing the number of available sources for AND flash memory.
