He lives in a house with several other semi-celebrities, subject to periodic expulsions by vote. George's housemates include cross-dressing basketball star Dennis Rodman and Baywatch Babe Traci Bingham. We cannot be the first to note the resemblance between Big Brother and Jean-Paul Sartre's play No Exit. In the latter production, three people arrive in hell to find it a drawing-room in which they are condemned to spend eternity getting to know one another. "Hell is other people," concludes one of Sartre's characters. Confronted with George Galloway across the breakfast table, it would be hard to disagree. Our own feeling is that the farther away from the levers of power Galloway is kept, the better it will be for Western civilization. We extend our sympathies to Rodman, Bingham & Co. nonetheless.
