, will sell its 51% stake in Colombian auto manufacturer Sofasa Sofasa (Founded in 1970) is an automobile company in Colombia that assembles imported Renault, Toyota and Delta Daihatsu vehicles. The company then exports to the Andean Community of Nations (CAN) and supplies the national market of automobiles in Colombia.  to minority shareholders including France's Renault and Toyota Motor Corp. and Mitsui & Co., both of Japan. Renault will hold a controlling 60% stake in Sofasa. Sofasa had earnings of approximately US$6 million in the first nine months of the 2002.
