Renaissance's Year 2000 Staffing Solution addresses the key issue of recruiting, selecting, and retaining qualified trained technical resources to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals.

"As the deadline for implementing successful solutions to the Year 2000 problem rapidly approaches, many companies are finding it difficult to maintain their focus on other business-critical IT projects," said Mark Biscoe, Northeast Vice President of Renaissance's Services Group. "The Renaissance Year 2000 Staffing Solution enables clients to keep their internal IT resources focused on ongoing issues while deploying skilled experts on the Year 2000 problem. For IT consultants, the Renaissance Year 2000 Staffing Solution provides quality training and support that can accelerate their career development and open new windows of opportunity that will exist well beyond January 1, 2000. Our Year 2000 initiative is one more example of the continuous innovation that has set Renaissance apart in the IT consulting arena."

The Renaissance Year 2000 Staffing Solution service begins with a comprehensive screening and selection process of qualified candidates whose profile may include a recent college graduate with a technical degree, a technical expert who is changing careers or one who is re-entering the technical workforce. Prior to their first project assignment as a Renaissance consultant, Year 2000 consultants participate in an intensive eight-week structured training program conducted by Boston University Boston University, at Boston, Mass.; coeducational; founded 1839, chartered 1869, first baccalaureate granted 1871. Renaissance Mentors serve as technical "experts" responsible for consultants' ongoing career training and technical development. They also assist consultants at client sites to ensure customer satisfaction through consultant performance, productivity, and project deliverables. This allows Renaissance clients to manage their own projects while Renaissance assumes the responsibility for providing project support to the team.

The selection process is underway to qualify and hire consultants to participate in the April 20th Year 2000 class sponsored by Renaissance. Additional classes will be scheduled on a 10-week cycle throughout 1998 and 1999.
