Religious acquisitions.Camarillo-based Salem Communications Salem Communications (NASDAQ: SALM) is a media company specializing in religious and conservative talk radio which operates in the United States, with 99 U.S. commercial radio stations (pending acquisitions) that are primarily concentrated in the nation's biggest markets, Corp. said it has agreed to acquire Xulon Press, a premier on-demand digital publisher of books targeting the Christian audience. Print-on-demand allows books to be stored electronically and printed only as they are ordered. The technology reduces the need for large inventory and warehousing. The organization publishes a variety of magazines, including CCM, Singing News, Preaching, as general manager of Xulon Press. Also last week, Salem purchased American Ministry Resources LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.
