A "Messiah Sing-Through" will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Episcopal Church Episcopal Church, Anglican church of the United States. Its separate existence as an American ecclesiastical body with its own episcopate began in 1789. Doctrine and Organization
of the Resurrection, 3925 Hilyard St. Conducted by the church's director of music, Betty Jean Bartholomew, the event will give the public an opportunity to sing G.F. Handel's famous oratorio oratorio (ôrətôr`ēō), musical composition employing chorus, orchestra, and soloists and usually, but not necessarily, a setting of a sacred libretto without stage action or scenery. with the Resurrection Evensong Choir and soprano soprano [Ital.,=above], female voice of highest pitch. The three basic types of solo soprano are coloratura, lyric, and dramatic. The coloratura has a great range and impressive vocal agility; the lyric soprano has a light, pretty voice; and the dramatic soprano has Misook Yun, bass Jack Davidson and trumpet player Dave Bender.
