COLUMBUS, Ga. - A five-run third inning gave the Oregon Reign a 6-0 lead as they cruised past the Birmingham (Ala.) at U.S. Amateur

Andrews rallied with a birdie on No. 13 to trim the lead to 2-up. Then Harigae bogeyed the 14th, allowing Andrews to get within one hole. But Andrews bogeyed No. 15 and the lead remained 2-up as both players closed with pars on 16 and 17.

Defending champion and future Southern California golfer Jane Park was among the winners in the opening round of match play.

Andrews advanced through two rounds of stroke play by shooting 74-75 on Monday and Tuesday at Ansley Golf Club to tie for 32nd at 5-over par.

St. Clair four back

in Pacific Coast tourney

BANDON - University of Oregon golfer Justin St. Clair shot a 1-over-par 73 on Wednesday for an even-par 144 total to trail Clay Ogden by four strokes after two rounds of the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is a complex of three golf courses located just north of the city of Bandon, Oregon, United States. The third round will be played at Pacific Dunes today, and the final round will return to Bandon Dunes on Friday.

Schutte shoots 75

at Big I Junior Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Florence's Jesse Schutte shot a 3-over-par 75 in the third round Wednesday to fall into fifth place at 3-over 219 heading into the final round of the Big I Junior Classic golf tournament.

Dodge Kemmer of Wichita, Kan., shot a 67 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round at 2-under 214.

CORVALLIS - Oregon State outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury and pitcher Dallas Buck have been named to the all-America first team by the American Baseball Coaches Association, and OSU head coach Pat Casey has been named the ABCA's West Region Coach of the Year.
