Registered Zinc Fluxes.Industrial Gypsum gypsum (jĭp`səm), mineral composed of calcium sulfate (calcium, sulfur, and oxygen) with two molecules of water, CaSO4·2H2O. It is the most common sulfate mineral, occurring in many places in a variety of forms. offers Metallpur, its line of registered fluxes for zinc that provide for optimum separation without the noxious fuming fuming /fum·ing/ (fum´ing) emitting a visible vapor. fum·ing adj. Producing or emitting smoke or vapor, as for certain concentrated nitric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids. and smoking usually associated with other zinc fluxes. Due to an approach to metal treatment for aluminum, the surface-applied fluxes in the line are manufactured without the high concentrations of fluorides normally used in other commercially available materials, yet optimum dross recoveries still are realized. Since fluorides have the ability to reduce some alloying constituents, this approach provides for the maintenance of alloy integrity while reducing possible fluoride fluoride, a salt of hydrofluoric acid; see hydrogen fluoride. See also fluoridation; fluorine. emissions. The fluxes can eliminate plugging in the shaft, rotor head Noun 1. rotor head - the axis around which the major rotor of a helicopter turns rotor shaft axis of rotation, axis - the center around which something rotates or both, resulting in savings in the cost of the shaft and rotor and in downtime. They also are formulated with minimal fluoride content yet still assist in purging glasses in the removal of hydrogen and maintenance of desired specific gravities.--Industrial Gypsum Co., Inc. |
