Regional seminar on financing of innovative enterprises, commercialization of intellectual property to open in Bishkek on November 10.


The Regional Capacity-Building Seminar in the Area of Financing of Innovative Enterprises, Commercialization of Intellectual Property and Public-Private Partnerships will be held in Bishkek on November 10-11. The Regional Seminar is organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE or ECE) was established in 1947 to encourage economic cooperation among its member States. ).The Seminar would involve both learning components and elements of knowledge sharing and discussion of good practices among participants. It is envisaged that the Seminar Programme would be broken down into sessions, covering the thematic areas outlined in the Programme of Work for 2009 of the SPECA PWG on KBD. In turn, each session would contain two main components. The first part would consist of presentations by international experts while the second part would include presentations of national experiences in the corresponding thematic area by the participants from the SPECA member countries.The United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) was launched in 1998 to strengthen subregional cooperation in Central Asia and its integration into the world economy. The member countries of SPECA are Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
