Regeneron Announces VEGF Trap Clinical Update.


TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: REGN) and sanofi-aventis are collaborating on the development of Regeneron's Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is an important signaling protein involved in both vasculogenesis (the de novo formation of the embryonic circulatory system) and angiogenesis (the growth of blood vessels from pre-existing vasculature).  (VEGF VEGF vascular endothelial growth factor. ) Trap in oncology. On February 13, 2007, sanofi-aventis will report its 2006 annual results and review its development pipeline.
