Reforestation success. (Forestry News).


Close to a million-and-half trees have been planted between Sault Ste. Marie Sault Sainte Marie — pronounced "Soo Saint Marie" (IPA /su seɪnt məˈɹi/) — is the name of two cities on the Saint Marys River, which forms part of the boundary between the United States and Canada.  and Wawa since late May says Clergue Forest Management Inc., a Sault-based forestry planning firm.

The reestablishment of forest cover either naturally or artificially. Given enough time, natural regeneration will usually occur in areas where temperatures and rainfall are adequate and when grazing and wildfires are not too frequent.
 planted about 1,458,500 jack pine, black and white spruce, bringing their five-year total up to 5.1 million trees on the Wawa Forest and 2.2 million on the Algoma Forest.

In early May, volunteer Boy Scouts along with employees from St. Marys Paper, Domtar, Clergue Forest, Meakin Forest Enterprises, G-P G-P Gel'fand - Pinsker (channel code)  Flakeboard and the Sault and Area District Trappers planted 7,500 trees near Searchmont as part of the coalition's annual tree plant.
