Reed Life Sciences Expands Global INTERPHEX Portfolio to Mexico; INTERPHEX Mexico to Co-Locate with PMMI's EXPO PACK Event.

NORWALK, Conn. -- Reed Life Sciences, a division of Reed Exhibitions, one of the world's largest trade events producers, is bringing its flagship INTERPHEX event to Mexico City June 27-30, 2006, to be held at Centro Banamex. INTERPHEX Mexico, which is co-locating with the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute's (PMMI) EXPO PACK and PROCESA events, focuses on both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in Mexico, and has garnered key supporters including ISPE (The Society for Engineering Pharmaceutical Innovation), Pharmaceutical Processing, Pharmaceutical Technology En Espanol, and Revista PharmaNews.

INTERPHEX Mexico will bring buyers and sellers of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing and processing technologies to the world's 10th largest pharmaceutical region, as well as to one of the fastest growing markets in the global medical device industry. Mexico, currently estimated at $11.3 billion (US), has 390 companies (multinational and Mexican) who manufacture pharmaceuticals. In addition, Mexico's total US exports of medical devices and supplies grew by about 18% in 2002 while other countries showed diminishing numbers. The event will showcase the equipment, products and services used for processing, manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals in Mexico. It will also feature products and services for medical device manufacturers in the areas of design, production and manufacturing.

Over 75 exhibitors are expected to participate in INTERPHEX Mexico.
