Reed Business Information launches "BioPerform".

Reed Business Information (Rockaway, NJ) has begun the publication of "BioPerform" magazine with an issue in March. The magazine is an extension of Reed's "BioPerform" brand, first launched in November 2005 through a web site, BioPerform.com. The magazine will be published monthly for a controlled circulation of 8000.

Both the magazine and online site are targeted to biotechnology and life science investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and associated service providers. The brand is designed to provide news, web-based and live events, features, directories and custom research to help entrepreneurs and researchers commercialize their discoveries and connect with the investor community, as well as help investors discover opportunities in established biotech firms seeking pre-IPO funding.

Content for the magazine and web site includes information on: securing biotechnology-related intellectual property and working with IP law firms; technology transfer, licensing and the commercialization of discoveries; government funding for biotech companies; international and regional economic development initiatives that focus on biotechnology; seed funding strategies for initial start-ups; strategies for companies seeking pre-IPO investment; and, strategies for planning an IPO or for seeking acquisition suitors.

The brand's biweekly e-newsletter, "BioPerform Update," is sent to over 95,000 life science industry and academic professionals, including the readerships of Reed Science Group's "Drug Discovery & Development," "BioScience Technology" and "Genomics & Proteomics" magazines.
