No, this is not basic drivers ed. it's a racing and performance driving school for teens, and instructional courses like this are popping up around the country. The schools claim to teach teens safe-driving skills, but caution! These courses might be hazardous to your safety. "Young drivers have needs that these adrenaline-producing situations do not consider," warns Kristin Backstrom, president of Safe Smart Women, a driver safety program for teen girls that promotes "crash avoidance, not crisis response."
