"I always want to get a lot of rebounds because it means that I am getting in there and being strong," said Norris, who grabbed 10 rebounds in the first half.

Lowell's pressure defense forced 27 turnovers, and made 19 steals. The Red Devils also held the Tigers to four field goals in the first three quarters, allowing only 13 points.

"Our team just always works better together in the third quarter," said Rice, who scored seven of her 15 points during the second-half run. "Our team emphasis is always defense. We always say we win games by defense, and I guess that showed tonight."

"They do a lot of running," Murray said. "I told them they are the best conditioned team in the Mountain West."

Katie Erlei scored 10 points for the Red Devils, including 4-of-6 free throws in the final 4:04. Lowell made 10-of-14 free throws in the game, while Monument/Dayville made only 6-of-16. Three of those misses were on the front end of a one-and-one.

Woosley led Monument/Dayville with seven points, including its lone field goal in both the first and third quarters.

Damascus Christian 34, McKenzie 32: Katie Mullen scored 10 points to lead host Damascus Christian into the state quarterfinals.

McKenzie trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half, but its rally fell short in the fourth quarter.

Megan Norman scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace McKenzie (21-7). Nicole Price and Jenise Jones each had nine points with Price also getting nine rebounds.

Damascus Christian will face Joseph in the state Class 1A quarterfinals in Baker City on Thursday.

Kelsey Barth added 18 points and Elizabeth Beaty scored 10 for Salem Academy, the third-place team from the Tri-River Conference.

Swenson had 22 of her points in the second half when Salem Academy outscored the Warriors 44-23 after trailing by two at halftime.

Brooke Toy scored 11 points and Brianne Emel contributed 10 for Mountain View Conference champion North Douglas (22-4).

Portland Christian 59, Oakridge 39: Kim Hill scored 29 points and Darcy Cornell added 21 to lead the host Royals past the Warriors and into the state quarterfinals.

Zoe Skordahl scored 15 points and Jeanette Freeman added 11 for Oakridge.

Sky-Em League playoffs

La Pine (16-9), which will meet Illinois Valley in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs, made 17-of-23 free throws in the fourth quarter and 21-of-29 for the game and outrebounded the Lions 39-16.

La Pine last made the state playoffs in 1989, when the Hawks competed at the Class 2A level.

Jordan Brunetti scored 15 points and Reed Levings added 14 for the Lions, who finished the season with an 18-7 record.

Far West League playoffs

Douglas 52, Sutherlin 41: Alisha Shigley scored 12 points and Katy King added 11 as the host Trojans earned the Far West League's No. 2 seed to the state Class 4A playoffs.

Douglas will play at Tillamook, the No. 2 seed from the Cowapa League, in a second-round state-playoff game on Saturday. Sutherlin will play host to Cascade A connected series of devices or images. It often implies that the second and subsequent device takes over after the previous one is used up. For example, cascading tapes in a dual-tape backup system means the second tape is written after the first one is full.  in a first-round game on Wednesday.

Kaylea Vermeer scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs, who earned the No. 3 seed.
