Red Bird Farms has been providing the people of Colorado with fresh chickens since 1949.

Red Bird Chickens are available at Albertson's, City Markets, Cub Foods Cub Foods is a grocery store chain with eighty-four stores in Minnesota, Iowa, Northern and Central Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Miami Valley in Ohio. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Supervalu. , King Soopers, Leevers, Safeway, Steele's, Tony's Meats and other speciality meat markets throughout the state.

Red Bird is the only Colorado Company which daily hand-cuts and trims each chicken and then delivers fresh directly to supermarkets, butcher shops and food service distributors. It has had 2 previous owners. Until 1998 Red Bird was headquartered in Littleton, with 12,000 sq. ft. at 4949 S. Vallejo. In March of 1998 Red Bird moved to 2520 S. Raritan in Englewood with over 23,000 sq. ft. Along with providing the freshest chicken in Colorado, in the last 9 years Red Bird has introduced fresh Red Bird turkeys, 100% chicken sausage sausage, food consisting of finely chopped meat mixed with seasonings and, often, other ingredients, all encased in a thin membrane.
