Record round moves Oregon's Sipe into contention in Hawaii.

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - Derek Sipe set a University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. "Derek was just phenomenal today," Ducks coach Casey Martin Casey Martin (born June 2, 1972 in Eugene, Oregon) is an American professional golfer. He still resides in Eugene. He was educated at Stanford University, and was briefly a teammate of Tiger Woods.  said. "He really had it going with his putter, and that was the whole key for him."

Sipe enters today's final round in second place, a stroke behind Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale, who shot 64-64-128.

Oklahoma State's Jonathan Moore Jonathan Moore, son of international coach Aston Moore (former athlete and coach to Ashia Hansen) began his career his by gaining the English School’s title in 1999 and Gold in the same event in 2000. , who equaled Sipe's 62 on Thursday, is another shot back in third place.

As a team, Oregon shot a 13-under 267 on Thursday to sit in fifth place overall at 542. Marcus Sostak carded a 3-under 67, and Matt Ma and Joey Benedetti each had 69s.

"I'm pretty pleased with what we shot today," Martin said.

Oregon State was a stroke behind the Ducks after turning in a 273 in the second round.

Third-ranked Oklahoma State carded a 260 to take the 36-hole lead at 533. No. 2-ranked Stanford and No. 20 Georgia Tech are tied for second, four shots off the pace, followed by No. 25 Arizona State at 539.
