Interliner has bought almost 200 trucks from Scania in recent years. Commenting on this contract and Interliner's expansion, Scania Osterreich says the deciding factor was that Scania is able to offer full-coverage Pan-European service.

"This order is particularly important, not only for Scania Osterreich but also for the whole of Scania's European service organisation," says Hakan Sundstrom, Managing Director of Scania Osterreich. "At the same time, it is also interesting to note, this is the largest single contract that Scania has ever signed with a customer in Austria."

Besides Scania's V8 engines, the new trucks will also be equipped with the new 12-litre 6-cylinder turbocompound engine with 470 hp.
