Record View: Vera's new war.

SHE was in the forefront of the offensive against the Nazis almost 70 years ago.

And now - at the grand old age of 91 - Dame Vera Lynn continues the fight for right, taking on the hateful neo-Nazis who masquerade under the name of the British National Party.

She's been outraged after they hijacked her most famous song The White Cliffs of Dover to use on an album designed to get across their anti-immigration message.

Dame Vera, the forces sweetheart, is apolitical, was not consulted and has now ordered her lawyers to take action against the BNP.

Given her record against tyranny, the BNP should be afraid.
