Recession takes toll?

Recession Takes Toll?

Cocktail talk says that Southland Building Products will soon close, but it's probably just fall out from a recent restructuring.

The company has nine employees and just announced some management changes. Lynch "has taken early retirement and Roland R. Remmel (CEO and co-founder) will be president again."

You may recall the business had to move from its long-time location down by the river in March 1989 when Dillard's began planning its new headquarters building. It's now located in the Little Rock Port Authority area.

The company began business in 1948.
