 the loss of Assistant Editor Rebecca Rebecca or Rebekah (both: rēbĕk`ə), wife of Isaac and mother of Jacob. One day, as was her custom, she drew water at the city well; while there she showed kindness to Eliezer, Abraham's servant.  Diamond, who had been part of the Community Action team for the past 10 years. Rebecca contributed a special precision to the preparation of copy and went about the very meticulous me·tic·u·lous

 work that is involved in meeting, printing and delivery deadlines with dedication. She continued her work even during medical treatment, allowing herself only a modest amount of time-off. Her sense of responsibility seemed to extend even to her sudden, unexpected passing, which came shortly after she met the deadline for the April 24th issue. She will be missed by us and the readers with whom she had direct contact.
