Realty Foundation celebrates Golden Jubilee Guest of Honor--Eugene M. Grant.On May 4th, the Starlight Roof at the Waldorf-Astoria was buzzing with 550 real estate professionals and friends of Eugene M. Grant, President, Eugene M. Grant & Co. as he was honored with the Foundation's "Man of the Year" award. Gene, a Vice President and Treasurer of the Foundation, has been associated with the Foundation for over 40 years. Jerry L. Cohen cohen or kohen (Hebrew: “priest”) Jewish priest descended from Zadok (a descendant of Aaron), priest at the First Temple of Jerusalem. The biblical priesthood was hereditary and male. , President of the Foundation, opened the program and spoke of the extraordinary work the Foundation has accomplished over the past 50 years. Larry A. Silverstein, Chairman of the Foundation introduced Gene who was greeted with rousing applause and admiration. Gene had the rapt attention of each person as he spoke on the importance of "giving back"; the beginnings of the Foundation and the importance of the work we do. Gene is a man of genuine warmth--he is a beloved, respected professional, and one always leaves his company feeling his warmth and sincerity. His life accomplishments are extraordinary--he is a wonderful role model. The Foundation continues in its commitment to assist those within the industry in need of temporary financial assistance, and offering scholarship aid to college bound students.
